Helsing Junction Farms Summer CSA Shares
Helsing Junction Farms' Summer CSA delivers 18 weeks from mid-June until late October with one planned gap week*. Each delivery week our members receive a pre-packed box containing 6-12 items, depending on which size share they choose. The contents of our CSA boxes vary widely as the season progresses; from strawberries and fresh peas in spring to parsnips and winter squash in fall. See the descriptions below for more information on all of our offerings! And don’t forget to check out our partner shares here for optional add-ons to your vegetable subscription.
*We have a seasonally planned gap week each year the first week in July when many members are travelling. This gap week allows us to proactively tackle the seasonal overload that farm workers often experience after our busiest month of the year, June. It also gives us some extra time to catch up on weeding which has helped immensely with getting great harvests on our late summer/early fall crops that are in the ground for many months.
*We have decided to keep the $10 sign-up fee each season as a way to help us continually invest in more sustainable packaging options, like reusable corrugated plastic boxes, flip-top crates, and recyclable cartons as opposed to plastic bags
